65 percent leap in demand from the medical industry in the first half
of 2020 as the world battles coronavirus. General Silicones (GS), which
has 50 years of experience in silicone rubber trading and
manufacturing, has invested in new equipment to meet the surge in
orders, largely from the USA and Europe.

Supplier of Critical Silicone Medical Parts
GS is a key supplier of a wide range of silicone products across
numerous industries, including medical, automobile, consumer products,
electronics and IT. But the urgent situation worldwide, with a massive
increase in medical activity, has taken center stage this year. GS is
facing a dramatic increase in demand for critical silicone parts needed
for respiratory assistance equipment, research, work safety, and other
purposes.

The new manufacturing equipment includes Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)
Injection Molding Machines. This equipment is helping GS ramp up
production and accelerate delivery throughout its global manufacturing
and distribution network.

Demand for Silicone Scalpel Mats, Pin Mats, Tubing, Breathing Masks
GS is seeing very high demand for customized silicone medical parts:
such as silicone scalpel mats, pin mats, tubing, breathing masks and
bags, medical membrane keypads, medical mouse pads, electric knife
parts, silicone instrument mat, magnetic (instrument) mat, nebulizer
plugs, bacterial Petri plates, as well as other medical parts and
O-rings.
