Play Crysis 3 with AMD’s Latest Graphics and Quad Core Processor – MSI GX70 Notebook

23 May, 2013, Taipei, Taiwan - MSI Notebook is pleased to announce the MSI GX70 17.3” gaming laptop officially recommended for Crysis 3. The features include a quad core A10-5750M and an upgraded GPU to AMD HD8970M. This combination provides excellent gaming performance at a reasonable price. The HD 8970M boasts greater performance than the GTX 680M, for instance, Tomb Raider with TressFX off runs 54 percent faster, Bioshock Infinite runs 42 percent faster, Crysis 3 runs 12 percent faster, and 3DMark FireStrike scores 21 percent higher. Additional features of the GX70 include MSI's Eyefinity triple-screen output and Tress FX support. Tress FX brings the best hair physics and lighting system in a playable game.

Mini Display Port, HDMI, and D-Sub

Three graphics output interfaces are supported: Mini Display Port, HDMI, and D-Sub to provide the industry's only Eyefinity triple-display full HD output with synchronized, identical resolution or unsynchronized, varied resolution options up to 4096 x 2160 resolution, making the GX70 ideal for medical applications and professional graphics designers. The GX70 uses the integrated HD8650G's display feature to provide power-sipping energy use in 2D applications then automatically switches to the HD8970M's top-of-the-line display card to handle games with ease.

The Best Peripherals For Gaming

Peripherals include the SteelSeries professional gaming keyboard, Professional Killer Gaming Networking, MSI's Audio Boost sound technology and USB 3.0. The custom designed keyboard includes many modern gaming features such as fully customizable backlit keyboard and relocated win key and it is also two times as durable and just as responsive as a high quality traditional desktop keyboards. The Killer Gaming Networking greatly reduces latency/ping in LAN games. MSI's Audio Boost sound technology includes gold-plated Gold Flash audio jack with ultra-low resistance, improved conductivity, enhanced antioxidation, better transmission performance, and reduced noise, and the embedded power amplifying chip (AMP) for top-quality stereo sound in high-end earphones. The latest USB 3.0 ports also include 80% more power for faster data transfers and recharging.

Additional features include: AMD’s Face Login to automatically lock the computer when you step away and AMD Gesture Control for touch-less gesture commands at near or far distances.

A10-5750M Quad-Core Processor

MSI's GX70 comes equipped with AMD's newest A10-5750M quad-core processor. This APU increases overall system performance by 10 to 15% over the earlier A10-4600M, while optimizing power saving and heat dissipation. The latest integrated AMD HD8650G display chip with 2GB GDDR5 also saves power and supplies DirectX11 high resolution display performance.

Two Different Options

The GX70 comes in two different models. The GX70 3BE-024AU and GX70 3BE-031AU. The 3BE-024AU comes with 8 gigs of ram and a 750GB HDD while the GX70 3BE-031AU comes with a 128 GB SSD paired with a 1 TB HDD.

The MSI GX70 is now available in Australia for the suggested retail price of $1,399 AUD for the GX70 3BE-024AU and $1699 AUD for the GX70 3BE-031AU.
