May 14, 2018 – Shenzhen, ChinaGiada, a provider of embedded PCs, embedded motherboards, server and storage appliances, has announced the compact and robust Giada PC25, Giada's latest embedded PC designed according to the Intel Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) standard. The PC25 is based on Intel’s latest and powerful Gemini Lake CPU, features up to 8GB of dual-channel DDR4-2133 memory. The CPU features a next-generation GPU equipped with 10-bit codecs and 4K video output. This full-featured device is ideal for applications such as interactive whiteboards (IWBs) and other easy-to-use devices to enable team collaboration. OS support includes Windows 10 and Linux.
Latest OPS player based on Intel Gemini Lake platform
Intel's OPS standardizes the system architecture between displays and media players, enhancing compatibility, reliability, and ease-of-use. The PC25, based on Gemini Lake Platform, provides 4K video output via the standard JAE interface that supports HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 standards.
Graphics are driven by the Intel UHD Graphics 605 core – a key part of the PC25’s low-power 14nm system on chip (SOC) design. This chip is an evolution of Intel’s previous Apollo Lake platform and offers numerous advantages over older technologies, such as an enhanced media decoding/encoding engine, and a new display pipeline.
Superior range of input and output options
Extensive I/O and storage features include 2x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, a 2230-format M.2 connector for WiFi/BlueTooth, a SIM slot, and one full-size Mini-PCIe for mSATA/3G/4G. Additional storage options include a 2.5-inch SATA socket, plus a second M.2 connector (2242/2280) for SSDs. The PC25 adopts JAHC (JEHE Active Hardware Control) technology, a Giada patented reliable technology independent of the operating system used. The build-in JAHC technology enables unattended operation with powerful remote control and auto power on/off function. The lightweight and compact metal-cased unit measures just 200mm x 119mm x 30mm.
