January 27, 2015, Taipei Taiwan - SpotCam, the cloud home monitoring service startup, announces a new Sleep Mode for its SpotCam Wi-Fi home monitoring camera. This new feature allows the SpotCam to only capture and record moments that matter, including motion and audio disturbances.
Sleep Mode
Users can now set SpotCam into Sleep Mode for a specified time in the day via the iOS / Android app or from the web browser. While in Sleep Mode, SpotCam does not transfer any video or audio data -saving unnecessary network bandwidth usage.
Instant Wake Up to Motion and Sound Activity
Additional settings can be applied to make the SpotCam wake up when there is motion and/or sound activity. Once triggered by these disturbances, SpotCam instantly starts capturing and transmitting what could be vital footage or evidence to the cloud.
Simple to Setup, Simple to Use
With an incredibly easy setup, SpotCam makes it easy to check up on loved ones from anywhere. A cloud based approach combined with iOS and Android apps means it's easy to see what's going on at home from a computer or smartphone.
